Absorbable PDO Threads

$2,395.00

Level 1 dermal filler training and foundational education is required to attend. Participants must feel comfortable injecting dermal fillers prior to this course.

This advanced PDO Threads course includes self-paced didactic education followed by hands-on clinical training on Absorbable PDO (Polydiaxanone) threads, a minimally invasive technique used to tighten and reposition sagging skin. PDO threads are placed in the superficial tissues to lift and support the skin while stimulating collagen production.

Participants will first complete online lectures covering the history of PDO threads, chemical and biological properties, biodegradation, indications, contraindications, complications, and prevention and management of adverse events.

During the clinical training, participants will learn both basic and advanced PDO thread techniques. Working in pairs under expert supervision, attendees will practice performing a non-surgical “face-lift” using PDO threads. Techniques include crosshatch and basket-weave thread placement to lift the upper lip, soften smokers’ lines, enhance the vermillion border, and reposition tissue to accentuate the cheeks, reduce jowls, and tighten the jawline.

Participants will receive direct instructor guidance during the clinical portion and observe additional cases to strengthen patient assessment and treatment planning. Each attendee will receive a complete lecture manual and clinical resources, including consent forms, model guidelines, and protocol documentation.
